Dr. Dawn M Sumrall, MD

Dawn M. Sumrall, M.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University in 1980, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She graduated in the top 10% of her class from medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. In 1992, she completed her OB-GYN residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Jackson, MS. Dr. Sumrall is licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure and the Texas State Board of Medical Licensure, is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and participates yearly in voluntary Board recertifications. Dr. Sumrall was born in New Orleans, LA and graduated from high school in Lewisville, TX. She is married to Hiram Sumrall, a Mississippi native and graduate of Mississippi State University. They have two children; Austin, attends the University of Mississippi and Laura, attends Parklane Academy in McComb. Dr. Sumrall is a member of Wiser Medical Society, University of Mississippi Medical Center OB-GYN Alumni Association, Mississippi State Medical Association, Centenary United Methodist Church, and a life member of the McComb Garden Club. She is an avid gardener and loves to hunt and fish as well.
Dr. D Brian Remley, MD

D. Brian Remley, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Millsaps College in 1988 graduating Cum Laude. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1993. He completed his OB-GYN residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1997. Dr. Remley is licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure, is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and participates in voluntary Board recertifications. Dr. Remley is a member of Wiser medical Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and Mississippi State Medical Association. During his eleven years in McComb, MS he has served Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center as Chief of Surgery, Perinatal Chief, Secretary of the hospital Executive committee, and Chief of Staff. Dr. Remley currently serves as chair of the Mississippi Baptist Education Commission, Vice chairman of the Parklane Academy Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Deacon Fellowship of First Baptist Church McComb. Dr. Remley is from Tylertown, MS and is married to Angela T. Remley. They have four children. Dr. Remley is an avid hunter and very much enjoys coaching little league baseball, basketball, and soccer.
Dr. James A Nobles, MD

James A. Nobles, Sr., M.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Loyola University and his Medical Doctorate Degree from Louisiana State University New Orleans, LA in 1978. Dr. Nobles completed an internship at Charity Hospital New Orleans, LA in 1978 and his OB-GYN Residency in 1982 also at Charity Hospital. He is licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure and is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Louisiana State University OB-GYN System. Dr. Nobles practiced in Metairie and Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Gadsden, Alabama prior to relocating to McComb. He served as Chief of the OB-GYN Department at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He is married to Penny Rutledge Nobles. They have five children and three grandchildren. Dr. Nobles enjoys spending time away from the office with his family and offshore fishing. He enjoys the practice of medicine as well as the mental challenge associated with it. Dr. Nobles believes it is a blessing to be a part of the medical profession. He is a member of the Mississippi State Medical Association, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
Dr. Gregory L Jerkins, MD

Gregory Lee Jerkins, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Zoology from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. In 1980, he obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. His postgraduate work included an internship and residency with Georgia Baptist Medical Center. He then completed his residency in OB-GYN at Stanford University Medical Center in Stanford, CA. Dr. Jerkins is licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure, is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and participates in voluntary Board recertifications. He is a member of the Mississippi State Medical Association, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the California Medical Association, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His medical career spans over 20 years, during this time he practiced in Marin, CA for 16 years, then moving to Mississippi he joined the staff of Field Memorial Community Hospital and the Catchings Clinic in Centreville and Woodville respectively. Dr. Jerkins is a native of Athens, GA. He is a resident of Summit and Woodville. Patients who have met him and many of those who work with him have on numerous occasions heard him say that “a woman’s physical health is very much affected by her mental health and most women don’t receive the care they need in this area. Many times women need to know that their physician and those around them care about what they have to say – I do care about what they have to say and make every effort to LISTEN to my patients and treat them as I would like to be treated.”
